Gold In September

I don’t normally do such things, but this is a very worthy cause.

An 11 year old girl started a mission, ‘Gold in September’, after seeing wear pink in support of breast cancer.  Her twin brother, Jack, was diagnosed with cancer and decided to do something about it.

“When a child is diagnosed with cancer it affects the family and the community.  It’s devastating.  My goal is to get everyone thinking about and wearing gold in September so we can bring an end to childhood cancer.”

Sadly her brother passed away, but help support not only his memory, but help those who are forgotten all too often in the fight for cancer, the children.

Help her and others in their fight and support for children with cancer.

I don’t know why, but something about this picture is powerful to me knowing that some random guy went out of his way to create such a costume, then go and show support to a child.  (I assume the child probably has cancer and is on her way to treatment.)

All these kids (and their families) want it to get back to the ‘normalcy’ we have everyday.
